Believe it or not, fall is just around the corner–which means here at BIGfish, we’re saying goodbye to our summer interns and getting ready to hire fall interns (learn more here!) After three months of working with a variety of clients, creating social media content, developing media lists, and more, we asked our summer interns what they’ve taken away from working at BIGfish. Read on to hear their responses!

Name: Nika Gokhman
Hometown: Mequon, Wisconsin
College: Tufts University, Class of 2013
Favorite part of working at BIGfish: I’m right in the action. We all sit together, learn together, and ask questions of each other. It’s a collaborative, cohesive space with no literal or figurative walls.
Most valuable lesson from working at BIGfish: Learn by listening and taking on challenges. By pushing yourself, you learn and grow, becoming more capable, responsible, and active. Show initiative, and you’ll be better for it.
Where I’d like to be in 5 years: Happy.
Anything else? Skills translate. No matter where you are, what your education is, or what you’ve done– experiences are priceless. You never know how one skill set can help you in a completely unrelated field. It just takes a little flexibility.

I learned a lot from my time at BIGfish, but I would say the most valuable lesson would be that it takes time, revision and patience for ideas to come into fruition.
