With Memorial Day marking the unofficial start of summer, we thought it would be fun to take a look back at the past several months and show you a few highlights of what we’ve been up to! We had a busy (and very snowy) winter and spring, so we’re excited to transition into the new season – bring on the sunshine!
January: Consumer Electronics Show 2015
It feels like just yesterday the BIGfish team was packing up to head to Las Vegas for CES 2015. Between working several different press events, running around the show floor and coordinating media interviews, it was an exhausting but highly successful week for both us and our clients. Check out our “Best of CES” picks here and take a look at our Facebook album to see more of what we did!

If you spent any time in Boston this winter, you know we had some serious weather issues. Record amounts of snow pretty much crippled the city and public transportation, but we persevered, making this beautiful spring weather even more enjoyable.
March: Taste of Iceland in Boston 2015
On a day-to-day basis we’re busy managing the website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts for our client Iceland Naturally, but once a year we get to take our talents offline and assist with public relations outreach and overall event organization for Taste of Iceland in Boston! While we do social media surrounding the other Taste of Iceland events throughout North America, Boston is where we get to leverage our media relations expertise and showcase this unique cultural event in the press.
Held annually, this five-day celebration of Icelandic food, music, film and culture gives Bostonians the chance to experience a true taste of Iceland. This year’s events featured an Icelandic menu at Tavern Road, the Reykjavik Calling concert at the Middle East, the City to City Dialogue panel at the MIT Media Lab and the Icelandic Film Festival at Kendall Square Cinema. Throughout the month of March we secured over 90 press mentions about the Taste of Iceland in Boston, including stories in: The Boston Globe, BDCWire, Computerworld, BostInno, Zagat, Thrillist and many more! We had so much fun helping with each of the events and can’t wait for next year!
April: Campaign Funding & Launch Parties
After a month-long Indiegogo campaign for the world’s first Apple Watch bumper, “THE BUMPER,” Actionproof surpassed its fundraising goal of $10,000 by raising over $16,000 with 557 backers. We secured some great press about “THE BUMPER,” including articles in CNET, Mashable & Digital Trends, just to name a few.
On April 30, TechHub Boston hosted their official launch party at their Davis Square location. Exclusively for technology product startups, TechHub is an international network focused on fostering a collaborative community where entrepreneurs help each other grow and improve. Boston is the organization’s ninth location, and first in the United States. Click here to read more about their official launch, and make sure you like them on Facebook!
We can’t wait to see what’s in store in store for us and our clients in the coming months! Make sure you follow us on Twitter for the latest updates. Happy Summer!
