It’s that time of year again! Every January since 2006 (except the year we were snowed in), the BIGfish team migrates to Las Vegas to participate in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and share client news with the tech world. This year is no different; we’ll be attending CES 2017 with clients Ring, Petnet and Nightingale. Here’s what to expect from them:

Ring: While you’re on the show floor, stop by the Ring booth (#40719) in the Sands Smart Home Marketplace to check out the company’s newest home security innovations and learn about their plans for 2017 (including some big announcements!). Since last CES, the company has introduced the Pro version of its widely popular doorbell; raised a $61.2 million Series C from top investors including Sir Richard Branson and KPCB; and announced a successful pilot program with the LAPD that resulted in a 55% drop in burglaries in one neighborhood in just six months. Not looking to brave the Sands madness? Ring will also be at Pepcom Digital Experience! (Jan. 4) and ShowStoppers (Jan. 5), too so come say hello! While the BIGteam is away in Las Vegas, you can bet we’re keeping an eye on our homes (and the BIGfish office!) with our Ring devices!
Since CES 2016, Ring has introduced its Ring Video Doorbell Pro.
Petnet: Stop by the Petnet table at Pepcom on Jan. 4 to see what the leading provider of personalized pet technologies has in store for 2017. Petnet’s products enable pet owners to stay connected to and make the best feeding choices for their pet based on their individual needs. More than half of dogs and cats in the U.S. are overweight or obese – meaning they’re predisposed to complications like hyperthyroidism, oral disease, diabetes, pancreatitis, arthritis and cancer. Petnet makes it easy for owners to give their pets the right food in the right amount. The free Petnet iOS/Android app calculates the ideal daily calorie intake for pets based on details like age, weight, activity level, breed and food type. In conjunction with the app, the SmartFeeder and SmartBowl enable owners to customize their pet’s feedings, discover insights about their pet’s eating habits and make intelligent decisions about their pet’s health. As an added bonus, Petnet is offering $20 off the SmartFeeder (and free shipping!) through the end of December. Our Chief Barketing Officer is a big fan!

Nightingale: Nightingale is the world’s first smart sleep system. Designed by the leader in the sound masking industry, Nightingale consists of two units that plug into your room’s outlets (the system’s pass-through outlets ensure you don’t lose precious outlet space) and are controlled via the free iOS/Android app, Bluetooth or online. Nightingale’s dual speakers work in tandem to immerse the room in perfectly tuned sound blankets, which mask disruptive noises that interrupt sleep. Unlike traditional white noise machines, Nightingale takes into account a room’s acoustics (wood floors or carpet, windows, etc.) and utilizes the walls to reflect soothing sound blankets into the space. This creates uniform, even sound coverage and ensures the brain cannot localize on the source of the sound, a common shortcoming of most white noise machines. Stop by the Nightingale booth (#42749) in the Sands, Halls A-C – or visit them at Pepcom (Jan. 4) and ShowStoppers (Jan. 5).
