BIGclient Ring has long been on a mission to reduce crime in neighborhoods with its line of home security products, and yesterday our favorite doorbell company took its mission a step further with the launch of its Neighbors app (available on iOS and Android). Neighbors is a neighborhood watch app that provides real-time, local crime and safety information.
Previously only available in the Ring app, Neighbors already has millions of users and has been instrumental in catching package thieves, stopping burglaries, and keeping neighborhoods safe. Now, Ring has brought those same benefits to everyone with the Neighbors app, which is accessible even if an individual doesn’t own a Ring device. Police and sheriff’s departments throughout the U.S. are also joining the network as a new way to share real-time crime and safety alerts with their communities.
To say the Neighbors app is making news would be an understatement! Below are some of the top hits we saw from yesterday’s announcement.
