With our daily lives getting busier and busier, smartphone and web apps have become increasingly important in our connected world. We rely heavily on technology to wake us up in the morning, get to work on time, navigate our way through foreign roads and point us in the direction of the best coffee in town. There’s no doubt it’d be difficult to survive without that technology now. While our phones and homes are chock-full of apps and products that help us get through each day, here are some of our favorite automated products and services that make life easier and enhance your productivity:

Numerous | Free

Numerous
Countdowns, activity tracking and alerts – oh my! Numerous gathers all of life’s most important numbers and keeps them up-to-date in one place. Connect to your Google Sheets and Analytics, FitBit and more to keep track of your most important stats throughout the day. Whether you’re tracking steps or unique monthly visitors, Numerous keeps tabs so you don’t have to. Did we mention you can also follow your friends and share your numbers with your network?

Workflow | $2.99

Workflow
Connect your apps with specific actions to automate your life with Workflow. The app pairs the content that is already on your device with any of its 200 actions to create endless combinations. For example, if you wanted to tweet a GIF of your latest event, you can create a Workflow to take three photos, make a GIF, and then tweet it out on your account. Then, once you’re at your next event just click the Workflow you built and let the app do the work. The relationships you create in the app can then be saved as their own apps to easily access on your home screen. Workflow allows you to intertwine your apps in order to simplify and automate your life.

IFTTT | Free

IFTTTT
Similar to Workflow, IFTTT (If This Then That) connects your networks, lifestyle, home, shopping and news. You can choose either a DO Recipe or an IF Recipe and begin building connections between apps. Want to stay up-to-date on trending tech news around the world? Simply set an IF Recipe: if a New York Times technology article becomes popular, then send me an email. Or, if you have a Ring Video Doorbell (one of our awesome client’s products) you can deter a burglar and protect your home by creating a Recipe between Ring and Hue: if Ring detects motion at your door, then have the lights automatically turn on via Philips Hue. Click here to check out more Ring Recipes.

SimpleMind | Free

SimpleMind
Never miss a detail during brainstorming sessions again. With SimpleMind, you can digitally display your brainstorm. SimpleMind enables users to map their ideas and thought processes, move them around, share them across devices and revisit them later to analyze and better understand your ideas.

Smarter iKettle | Available on Amazon

Smarter-iKettle
Gone are the days of waiting in your kitchen in a half-asleep daze for your coffee to brew. With the Smarter iKettle, your cup of joe will be ready for you before you even get out of bed. By using the smartphone app, you can set the iKettle to brew at any temperature between 68 and 212 degrees Fahrenheit, keep the coffee warm if you’re not quite ready for it yet and check the water level remotely.
