The BIGteam keeps growing! BIGfish is excited to welcome, Anna Dow to the team as our newest Account Coordinator. Keep reading to learn more about Anna and her love for the outdoors and Italian gelato!
Name: Anna Dow
Hometown: New City, NY
Tell us a little bit about your background:
I was born and raised in New City, an average sized town about 20 miles north of NYC. Itching to flee the metro area, I decided to attend the University of Vermont. As a lifelong outdoors enthusiast, Vermont catered beautifully to my need to be on top of a mountain, whether in hiking or snowboard boots. For a semester, I traded in Vermont maple syrup for Italian gelato while studying abroad in Florence, Italy. Since coming back to the states, you can find me constantly flipping through photos from my Italian life. I graduated in May 2017 with a BS in Public Communications.
What attracted you to BIGfish?
The tight-knit community of supremely talented PR professionals and their innovative, progressive list of clients. Very rarely do you find an agency devoted to maintaining a happy environment while also ensuring the clients are a good fit for the agency. BIGfish’s commitment to also working with clients in the sustainability sphere sparked my interest, as well.
Describe yourself in 5 words:
Always dreaming of new destinations
What’s your favorite food?
Any type of steak, any time.
What are you most excited to experience now that you’re living in Boston?
After growing up in New York with a diehard New England sports fan as a father, I essentially had no choice but to follow in his footsteps (except the Red Sox- Go Yanks!). I’m psyched to finally attend a Bruins or Patriots game here in Boston!
What do you hope to accomplish in your new role?
As a recent graduate, the most important thing to me right now is to observe, absorb, learn and apply as much as I possibly can from those around me. I’m excited to help BIGfish accomplish its goals and bring ideas to the table.
Anything else we should know about you?
I’m a firm believer that dogs are God’s greatest gift to Earth. Apologies in advance for the massive amounts of photos you’ll soon see of mine.
