One of the most anticipated events of the year, Apple’s Spring Loaded Event didn’t disappoint, with the company announcing several exciting new products, including an updated iMac, iPad Pro, iPhone 12, and more. The BIGteam tuned into the live-streamed event – check out our biggest takeaways below!

iMac

The new iMac is the thinnest and most colorful version Apple has released yet! Thanks to Apple’s M1 chip, a tiny but powerful software chip, the new iMac is the fastest, most compact version so far. The iMac comes in seven bright colors sure to bring joy to any workspace and has a better camera and speaker system to make working from home easier. iMac accessories include the Magic Mouse, keyboard, and touchpad to match the computer. The device will be available for purchase on the Apple website on April 30th, 2021, and will ship in the second half of May.

iPad Pro

The newly updated iPad Pro also uses breakthrough M1 technology and the incredibly fast 5G network, making the iPad Pro the fastest device of its kind. The thin and light iPad Pro gives users next-level performance and even more power efficiency than ever before. A new “Center Stage” feature for the camera allows users to stay perfectly framed in the shot during a video conference, perfect for those working from home. The iPad Pro will be available for purchase on April 30th, 2021, and will ship in the second half of May.

New iPhone 12 Color

The iPhone 12 has a brand new color for spring – purple! The iPhone 12 continues to have the fastest chip in a smartphone with an edge-to-edge display and night mode on every camera. The newest device also comes in two sizes, so you can find the one that works best for you. Plus, it has a ceramic shield with four times the drop performance to keep users’ phones safe from cracks or shattering.

Apple TV

Apple TV has never been so easy to navigate or had such high definition – until now that is! With high-frame-rate HDR and perfectly balanced color, users’ television pictures will be clearer than ever. The new color balance technology allows users to measure their television’s color display with their iPhone and get the very best picture quality. Also, the Apple TV remote has been upgraded with Siri controls and a 100% recycled material design.

Beyond the device updates, Apple introduced one new product!

AirTags

The Apple AirTag answers the dreaded question, “where are my keys?” This small tag works with Apple’s Find My iPhone App to help you locate whatever you attach to the AirTag. You can track items like keys, wallets, backpacks, luggage, and more. The AirTag can also be personalized with anything you want and can be purchased with a fashionable AirTag holder available on Apple.com.
