Tell us a little bit about your background:
I was born and raised in Massachusetts and grew up swearing I was going to go to college far away and never come back. Turns out, I only went to school two hours away from home and have been in Boston ever since. I graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2016 with a degree in PR and a minor in Law, a direct testament to my infatuation with the PR industry and my obsession with true crime and the legal system. My PR experience ranges from an internship at Kiss 108 where I assisted with celebrity interviews (e.g. Ed Sheeran and Wiz Khalifa), to a PR firm in NYC representing Ben Affleck, Facebook, and Leonardo DiCaprio, to two years spent at a local Boston marketing agency working with lifestyle, healthcare and food industry clients. I’ve known I wanted to pursue PR as my career since I was in eighth grade so I consider myself very lucky to have gotten to experience so many different variations of the profession.
What attracted you to BIGfish?
The first thing that attracted me to BIGfish was the company’s awesome roster of clients. As I learned more about the company, I was really excited by the team structure. I’m a huge fan of working on small, close-knit teams, so it felt like a perfect fit for me and my work style.
Describe yourself in 5 words:
Always has room for dessert.
What’s your favorite food?
Beneventos’ homemade pasta with vodka sauce and two meatballs *heart eyes*
What is your favorite thing to do in Boston?
My favorite thing to do in Boston is to just walk around the city when it’s warm out, stopping in restaurants or at food trucks and exploring all the different neighborhoods. My favorite places are SoWa, the Haymarket open market, Castle Island, Boston Common and the North End during Feast Season!
What do you hope to accomplish in your new role?
Coming from a different agency, I’m really looking forward to learning new PR techniques and advancing my skillset from everyone at BIGfish. I’m excited to dive into new industries and bring my own knowledge and experience to both the team and clients. Also, with extensive experience in influencer marketing, I hope to contribute my expertise to the agency and help grow the influencer marketing offering at BIGfish.
Anything else we should know about you?
Fun fact – when I used to want to leave Boston, it was because I hated the winters in Massachusetts. I sneeze every time I go outside in the winter, and used to be very dramatic and tell everyone that I was allergic to the cold to avoid doing anything outside (skiing, shoveling, you name it). Turns out, I actually AM allergic to the cold and now I just suffer through Boston winters because I love it here so much!
