Responsibilities

Client Management

  • Serve as a contact for multiple client accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive PR strategies and campaigns tailored to client goals.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed client presentations, reports, and proposals.
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively suggest new initiatives or solutions to enhance results.

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Assist in the development of PR plans, including media outreach, content creation, event planning, and crisis management.
  • Oversee the execution of PR campaigns, ensuring that all activities align with the client’s objectives and brand.
  • Monitor and evaluate campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with clients to integrate PR strategies into broader marketing initiatives.

Media Relations

  • Maintain and cultivate strong relationships with key media contacts and industry leaders.
  • Secure high-profile media placements across print, online, broadcast, and digital media platforms.
  • Develop compelling story angles, pitch ideas to media outlets, and manage media inquiries.
  • Monitor media trends and identify opportunities for clients to gain visibility.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, helping them develop their skills and advance in their careers.
  • Lead by example, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Participate in recruiting and onboarding new team members as needed.

Event Management

  • Plan and manage PR events, such as press conferences, product launches, and media tours.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, invitations, and on-site support.
  • Ensure all events are executed flawlessly and generate positive media coverage.

Crisis Communication

  • Assist clients in managing crisis situations, providing strategic counsel and media relations support.
  • Develop crisis communication plans and key messaging to mitigate potential damage to client reputations.
  • Act as a spokesperson for clients when necessary, handling sensitive media inquiries and public statements.

Required Skills

  • 4-5 years of experience in public relations, with a strong focus on media relations and client management. Agency experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven success in managing and executing PR campaigns that deliver measurable results.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong relationships with media contacts across various industries.
  • Proficiency in PR tools and software, such as Muck Rack, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
