Account Coordinator

The Account Coordinator supports the BIG FISH account team in the execution of public relations strategies and campaigns. This role involves managing administrative tasks, coordinating media relations efforts, and assisting in client communications. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about the public relations industry.

Responsibilities

Client Support

  • Assist in managing day-to-day client tasks and ensure timely responses to client inquiries.
  • Support the development and execution of PR strategies and campaigns.
  • Draft agendas and take notes on client calls and follow up with action items.

Media Relations

  • Assist in media outreach, including building media lists, pitching stories to journalists, and maintaining relationships with key media contacts.
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare coverage notes and reports.
  • Prepare press materials such as pitches, media alerts, and fact sheets under supervision.

Research and Reporting

  • Conduct research on industry trends, client competitors, and media opportunities.
  • Compile and analyze media coverage reports, providing insights and recommendations for clients.
  • Track and report on the performance of PR campaigns, including media placements and KPIs.

Administrative Tasks

  • Manage and update client files, media kits, media lists, and other databases.
  • Assist in the coordination of events, such as press conferences, product launches, and media tours.

Required Skills

  • Previous internship or work experience in public relations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm for public relations and a proactive attitude.
