Account Executive

The Account Executive is responsible for managing and executing public relations strategies for client accounts. This role involves developing PR campaigns, managing media relations, creating content, and ensuring client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a proactive and experienced PR professional with strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple clients and projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Client Management:
    • Serve as a point of contact for clients, managing day-to-day communications and ensuring client needs are met.
    • Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive PR strategies tailored to client goals and objectives.
    • Prepare and deliver client presentations, reports, and proposals.
  • Media Relations:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and bloggers in relevant industries.
    • Draft and pitch press releases, media alerts, and feature stories to media outlets.
    • Secure media placements and coverage in print, online, broadcast, and digital platforms.
    • Write and edit high-quality press releases, articles, case studies, and other content for clients.
  • Campaign Execution:
    • Plan and execute PR campaigns, including product launches, brand awareness initiatives, and news announcements.
    • Coordinate and manage events, such as press conferences, media tours, product reviews, and trade shows.
    • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns, providing clients with actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and media opportunities to inform PR strategies.
    • Monitor media coverage and compile regular reports for clients, highlighting key results and metrics.
    • Evaluate the performance of PR campaigns and adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with account teams, including junior staff, to ensure successful execution of PR activities.
    • Mentor and guide junior team members, providing feedback and support in their professional development.
    • Collaborate with other clients to integrate PR efforts into their broader marketing strategies.

Required Skills

  • 2-3 years of experience in public relations, preferably within an agency setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of securing media coverage and managing successful PR campaigns.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong media relations skills and an existing network of media contacts.
  • Proficiency in PR tools and software, such as MuckRack, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to challenges.
