If you want to get to know the PR industry in a close-knit and hands-on environment, this internship is for you. Say good-bye to fetching coffee all the time; at BIGfish, you’ll gain experience in media relations, pitch writing, social media and more. My favorite part of interning at BIGfish was being able to directly see how my contributions helped the team and actually engaging with reporters on behalf of the fun and interesting clients. There is a great group dynamic that relies on teamwork and collaboration so there is never a dull moment in the office. This internship is a great opportunity to build your portfolio and get to know the ins and outs of an agency.
Meghan Gabel, 2016 PR Intern
My favorite part about working at BIGfish was the collaboration; there were always a lot of projects in the works, and throughout my time I really valued sitting around the conference table and brainstorming ideas. Though I value independence in the workplace, I love working with a team, and it was cool to see the parts everyone played in helping an event go through or a website go up. I learned a lot about writing, especially adapting to the style of the client while maintaining my own voice. Overall, I really enjoyed working with every member of the team and getting to know them. Thank you, BIGfish!
Amanda Barillas, Fall 2014 PR Intern
This has been such a valuable, hands-on internship that’s allowed me to gain a lot of experience and grow professionally. I feel way more confident to enter the workforce post graduation! I really appreciate all the opportunities and responsibility given to me. I’m also really thankful for all the feedback the team gave to me throughout the internship. It’s been extremely helpful to know what I need to work on and where my skills lie.
Jessica Cook, Summer 2014 PR Intern
BIGfish was a great choice for my first agency experience. Don’t underestimate the small size, because it actually works to your advantage. If you are looking for a place where you can openly share your thoughts and ideas, get involved in projects that interest you, and expect constructive feedback, BIGfish is an excellent place to be!
