We help our clients redefine industries through thoughtful storytelling and strategic campaigns. The tight-knit BIGfish team is comprised of individuals with diverse backgrounds spanning marketing, public relations, social media, website development, branding, copywriting and graphic design.

About the candidate

BIGfish is seeking an ambitious, skilled and highly organized individual to act as Account Manager. Public relations, marketing or communications degree and relevant experience are required. Communication expertise, outstanding time management skills, and a passion for public relations, social media and technology are essential to succeed in this position.

About the job

The Account Manager plays an important role in supporting the BIGfish team by strategically planning and executing PR programs and maintaining positive relationships with both reporters and BIGfish clients.

Account Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Public Relations

  • Develop strategic, well-organized, well-written public relations campaigns.
  • Effectively execute public relations campaigns through media outreach, content creation and event participation to drive measurable results.
  • Monitor, report and evaluate campaign success and adjust when necessary.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the media.

Social Media

  • Oversee and assist with the development and execution of social media campaigns.
  • Review and approve social media posts, content calendars and contest proposals.
  • Monitor analytics and day-to-day social activity for assigned social media accounts.
  • Create analytics recap reports and adjust campaigns when necessary.

Marketing

  • Oversee and assist with the development of media kits, website copy, brochures and other marketing materials.
  • Coordinate events, awards and speaking engagements for assigned clients.
  • Oversee and assist with the development of strategic messaging and positioning documents.
  • Advise on web and print design and corporate identity.
  • Research industry trends and stay up-to-date on current events and news.

Account Management

  • Provide professional PR and marketing counsel and superior account service to assigned BIGfish clients.
  • Manage day-to-day client activities for assigned clients, including: researching, planning, implementing and evaluating activities, paying careful attention to budgets, resources, deadlines and client records.
  • Maintain close and frequent contact with assigned BIGfish clients and continually strive to strengthen relationships with them.
  • Run weekly calls with assigned clients and coordinate scheduling, agendas and notes.
  • Coordinate and supervise staff and vendors needed to carry out client service requirements.
  • Oversee internship program.
  • Participate in developing new business opportunities, as needed.
  • Ensure that supervisor is kept fully informed on activities of team, media and clients.
