BIG FISH PR is seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented, strategic thinker to act as Account Coordinator for several of our firm’s PR clients. This person should have:

  • A public relations or communications degree.
  • An interest in working with technology and consumer clients.
  • The desire to be a part of a fast-moving, collaborative, small team.

The Account Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the account team in the execution of strategic PR programs. This person will primarily focus on executing creative PR and corporate communication campaigns on behalf of BIG FISH PR clients.

The Account Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the account management team by planning and executing public relations and social media campaigns and managing client needs.

Responsibilities

Public Relations

  • Developing media lists for client announcements and press outreach
  • Writing press releases, newsletters and media materials on behalf of clients
  • Securing print and online coverage for clients through targeted media outreach
  • Tracking all press coverage, clipping press hits and creating monthly press coverage reports
  • Creating and maintaining events/awards/speaking engagement calendars for clients
  • Researching industry trends and staying up-to-date on current events and news to keep clients relevant in the press

Account Coordination

  • Preparing meeting schedules and call agendas for clients, taking notes and reporting on next steps from meetings
  • Providing recommendations on how to improve ongoing campaigns and projects
  • Supporting account management team with additional tasks as needed
