Formlabs is a long-standing BIG FISH client, and we continue to raise our game year over year to elevate Formlabs’ presence with a steady drumbeat of coverage. In 2024, BIG FISH’s PR program included thought leadership, proactive creative storytelling, product reviews, and key announcements and in-depth partner stories. We targeted a wide range of media in Formlabs’ market (tech, manufacturing, and Boston), to mainstream media and niche industries such as dental, automotive, medical, and others.
Proactive media outreach with creative and timely angles keeps Formlabs top-of-mind with reporters to drive ongoing coverage. 2024 included two key launches with the release of two new flagship 3D printers, Form 4 and Form 4L, featuring groundbreaking speeds and reliability. For each launch, our embargoed media strategy lined up coverage to take over the media conversation, including comparisons to other manufacturing technologies and content from users such as Microsoft and Radio Flyer. We followed each launch with a momentum strategy, including a product review program for in-depth feature coverage that would educate readers and potential buyers by showcasing the printers’ high speeds, versatility, and reliability.
To show Formlabs’ prowess in the space, a thought leadership program racked up awards for the brand to position it as a leader and highlight new flagship products.
