It's hard to believe that it's already the end of August; this summer has (sadly) flown by. Over the last several weeks, we've been wrapping things up with our two summer interns, Julia and Kelly. Julia, our PR intern, worked hard all summer long building media lists, contributing to the BIGfish Twitter account, tracking clients' press mentions and much more. Kelly, our crafty copywriter, wrote dozens of articles for client Iceland Naturally, blog posts for BIGfish and pitches. We're definitely going to miss having them around, but wish them the best of luck as they head back to school this fall.
If you’re visiting Boston, if you’re a college student, or if you’re a working professional in the area like the BIGfish team, you know you need your coffee. We’re called Beantown for the baked beans, but coffee beans are just as important to us Bostonians. While there’s nothing wrong with that pink and orange DD, or everyone’s favorite green mermaid, there’s an entire world of coffee shops out there to explore, and no reason to keep going to the same chains. Here in Boston, there are countless cute, quirky and delicious coffee shops and cafes for great drinks and food. Once you visit these spots, you’ll want to make them yours and yours only forever.
The BIGfish team is growing! Yesterday, Adriana Howell joined the team as our new Account Coordinator, and will be supporting the account management team by planning and executing public relations and social media campaigns, among many other things. We had her answer a few questions about herself and her aspirations – read on to find out what she has to say!
When looking at the adult playground that is Google’s office, it can be hard to see the benefits in working for a small company where you don’t have sleeping pods and massage rooms at your disposal. But there’s a lot to be said for working in a small office.
With Memorial Day marking the unofficial start of summer, we thought it would be fun to take a look back at the past several months and show you a few highlights of what we’ve been up to! We had a busy (and very snowy) winter and spring, so we’re excited to transition into the new season - bring on the sunshine!
