The tight-knit BIGfish team is comprised of individuals with diverse backgrounds spanning marketing, public relations, social media, website development, branding, copywriting and graphic design.

BIGfish is seeking a seasoned, self-motivated and highly organized individual to oversee the growth of profitable new business for our firm. The candidate should have experience selling public relations and marketing services to innovative technology, consumer electronics, energy and sustainability companies. Sales expertise, an understanding of PR, outstanding networking skills and a passion for technology and innovation are essential to succeed in this position.

About the job

Our Sales & Marketing Manager will play a critical role in bringing in new business for our agency. This individual will identify new prospects well suited for our portfolio of innovative tech, energy and sustainability clients and convert them into BIGfish clients. This role is expected to positively impact the profitability of the company on a continual basis. This individual will be encouraged to sell BIGfish PR services to prospects throughout the Greater Boston Area, across the country and around the globe. Quarterly and annual sales goals will be established based on the candidate’s experience and BIGfish’s requirements.

BIGfish’s Sales & Marketing Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Identify potential technology, consumer electronics, energy and sustainability clients well suited for BIGfish’s expertise and services.
  • Connect with decision makers to ensure a robust pipeline of business opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the executive team to develop proposals and pitches that speak to the client’s needs, concerns and objectives.
  • Regularly close new business.
  • Communicate client expectations to the account team.
  • Liaise with executive team on the implementation of business development strategies.
  • Develop, review and report on the business development strategy, ensuring objectives are clearly defined and well executed.
