We help our clients redefine industries through thoughtful storytelling and strategic campaigns. The tight-knit BIGfish team is comprised of individuals with diverse backgrounds spanning marketing, public relations, social media, website development, branding, copywriting and graphic design.

About the candidate

BIGfish is seeking an ambitious, skilled and highly organized individual to act as Marketing Coordinator. Marketing, business or communications degree and relevant experience are required. Candidates are expected to have marketing experience, outstanding people and communication skills, excellent research skills, solid quantitative and analytical abilities and most importantly a passion for writing.

About the job

The Marketing Coordinator’s role is to support the agency’s marketing and business development processes. The Marketing Coordinator is expected to help raise awareness of BIGfish in tech and innovation industries; attract qualified employees; develop proposals; and ensure contract requirements are integrated with account operations.

The Marketing Coordinator’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Take lead on promoting the agency utilizing digital, social, PR and events.

  • Identify opportunities for programs that can help fuel and facilitate client acquisitions.

  • Spearhead a “success stories” program to creatively document and present the most effective and impactful BIGfish PR campaigns.

  • Secure client testimonials.

  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, continually identify and develop the agency’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.

New Business Development Support

  • Present to and consult with the account team and senior management on business trends.

  • Identify potential clients and the decision makers within the client organization.

  • Help build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities.

  • Research and build relationships with new clients.

  • Schedule meetings with client decision makers and BIGfish’s practice leaders.

  • Document client and account requirements discussed during business development meetings.

  • Coordinate with the executive and account teams to develop proposals that speak to potential clients’ goals and needs.

  • Identify events and conferences that cover our client “sweet spots.”

  • Identify new ways to help the business development and account teams.
